Alphabet Mongolian

Traditional Mongolian Script

The Traditional Mongolian script is written vertically from top to bottom, in columns from left to right. It was adapted from the Old Uyghur script in the early 13th century for the Mongolian language. It has 35 letters that change form based on position (initial, medial, final). It is still used in Inner Mongolia (China) and is being revived in Mongolia.
